The Cuban TikToker Laurita (@_eslaurita) gave her followers a firsthand look at the devastation caused by Hurricane Milton in her Florida neighborhood. Through a video, she highlighted the persistent flooding affecting her area and showed how the fierce winds had toppled several trees, one of which landed partially in her backyard.

Laurita resides in Town 'n' Country, located in Hillsborough County. To ensure their safety, she and her family evacuated ahead of Milton's impact on the region.

Hurricane Milton struck Florida as a Category 3 storm, resulting in 16 fatalities so far, which includes a Cuban grandfather. The hurricane wreaked havoc with its tornadoes, widespread flooding, and power outages.

As of Friday, approximately 2.9 million people were still without power. Meanwhile, 7.3 million individuals who were subject to mandatory evacuation orders are beginning to return to their homes.

Flooding led to the rescue of hundreds in Pinellas County, and the estimated cost of damages is projected to be between $50 billion and $60 billion.
