The legendary Cuban wrestler, Mijaín López, a towering figure in Greco-Roman wrestling, will be celebrated at the upcoming Havana International Book Fair. The event will feature the release of a new book that chronicles his remarkable sports career, highlighting his impressive achievement of five Olympic titles. This publication will include narratives, poetic verses, and photographs documenting his consecutive triumphs under the Olympic rings, with a special focus on his latest victory in Paris 2024.

According to the official weekly, Tribuna de La Habana, the literary tribute will not only honor his sports achievements but also emphasize the cultural impact he has made in Cuban history. Prensa Latina reported that this book aims to provide a comprehensive view of López’s journey—from his beginnings to his stunning victories in Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio de Janeiro 2016, Tokyo 2020, and culminating in Paris, where he decided to retire from the sport.

The project is a collaborative effort between the Abril publishing house and the Juventud Rebelde newspaper. It is anticipated that the book launch will be complemented by photographic and cartoon exhibitions, designed to extend the tribute nationwide. This book serves not only as a testament to Mijaín's journey in sports but also as a reflection of the respect and admiration he has garnered over the years.

By merging the worlds of sports and literature, this volume promises to be an unforgettable homage, further elevating Mijaín López as a symbol of perseverance, hard work, and national pride.
