Driver Sought in Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident in Hialeah

Authorities are on the hunt for a driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run incident in Hialeah that claimed the lives of two individuals. The tragic event unfolded on Sunday night at the crossroads of East Eighth Avenue and 47th Street, prompting the swift response of the Hialeah Police units.

Investigators report that a dark-colored SUV was traveling southbound on East Eighth Avenue when it struck and killed two pedestrians as they were crossing the street. The driver, instead of stopping, fled the scene immediately after the collision.

The victims were pronounced dead at the site of the crash. In response, authorities have closed East Eighth Avenue between 46th and 49th Streets, advising motorists to steer clear of the area and opt for alternative routes. The investigation remains active, though no further details have been disclosed by the police.
