Potential Tropical Depression May Develop in the Caribbean's Path
Description not available

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is closely watching a tropical wave, identified as AL94, situated in the central tropical Atlantic. This system has shown a slight increase in its likelihood of formation. Currently, it is a well-defined low-pressure area located several hundred miles west of the Cape Verde Islands, generating scattered showers and unorganized thunderstorms.

Despite its current entrapment in a dry environment, making development in the next two days improbable, forecasts suggest a westward movement towards warmer waters. This change could create favorable environmental conditions for gradual development by the end of the week. As it progresses west-northwest, a tropical depression might form as it nears or moves close to the Leeward Islands later this week.

Presently, the system has a 10 percent chance of developing within the next 48 hours. However, this probability significantly increases to 60 percent over the course of seven days, indicating a potential intensification as it advances.
