Description not available

In the neighborhood of Dolores, located in San Miguel del Padrón, Havana, a criminal was captured and held by local residents after he threatened a young child with a knife in order to steal from him. Despite successfully grabbing the child's backpack, which contained a cell phone, and attempting to flee, numerous witnesses pursued the thief and eventually apprehended him, as reported by the government-supporting Facebook page El Cubano Fiel.

After being caught, the suspect—whose identity remains undisclosed—was detained by the neighbors who promptly contacted the police. According to the source, "After the call to 106 by the locals, police patrol car number 143 arrived and took the criminal into custody, transporting him to the 11th precinct."

Spiking Crime Rates Affecting Cuban Youth

Unfortunately, this incident is not isolated; in recent months, even children have increasingly fallen prey to street robberies in Cuba amid a noticeable surge in various criminal activities across the island.

In the comments section of the publication, several users applauded the quick resolution of the incident and expressed hopes that the perpetrator would face consequences for his actions, rather than being released shortly after arrest.
