The community of Cárdenas, Matanzas, is mourning the loss of one of its most cherished figures, affectionately known as El Puma. The sad news was shared by Christian Arbolaez in the "Cardenenses en Facebook" group, where he expressed the profound sorrow felt by many residents over the passing of this local icon.

"His name echoed throughout every corner of our city, and while he might not have been famous beyond our circle, to us he was a symbol of joy and authenticity," Arbolaez remarked. El Puma was renowned for his perpetual smile and kind words, embodying the spirit of Cárdenas. His absence leaves a void that will be challenging to fill, as he walked the streets with a distinct charm, spreading his vibrant energy to everyone around him.

"His stories, antics, and unique personality will remain in the memories of those fortunate enough to have known him," continued the heartfelt tribute shared online. A message of condolence was also extended to his family and friends, with Arbolaez expressing, "May they find solace in the love and warmth that El Puma planted in the lives of all who knew him."

In Santiago de Cuba, the death of Dr. Elicio de Jesús Rodríguez Martí, a distinguished proctologist, was mourned on Sunday. He passed away after a brief illness. The Saturnino Lora Torres Provincial Clinical Surgical Teaching Hospital shared on Facebook that Rodríguez, born on December 19, 1945, was a pioneering figure in Coloproctology in eastern Cuba after 1959, leaving a lasting legacy in Cuban medicine.

Also on Sunday, Cuban paramedics grieved the loss of Yosmedy García Cobas, fondly known as "El Moro," a young colleague from the Medical Emergencies System (SIUM) in Havana. His untimely passing was met with deep sadness among his peers.
