Teresa Padrón, the manager of the late Cuban reggaeton artist José Manuel Carvajal Zaldívar, widely known as El Taiger, took to Instagram to address the public regarding the funeral arrangements and the current condition of the urban singer's remains. "Jose's body will be in a locked casket, under security guard and police protection," the Cuban businesswoman stated.
The farewell for El Taiger is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, at 1:30 p.m., and will be held at the San Lázaro Catholic Church in Hialeah, Florida, as Teresa reminded fans. She further clarified that "Jose's body is in the United States" and that they have not yet received any updates from the authorities handling the case. "The police have not informed us, nothing, zero information," she lamented.
Teresa also shared that the family had granted her power of attorney once El Taiger was admitted to the hospital, noting that the artist's body has yet to be cremated. She confirmed that the reggaeton star passed away due to brain death. Addressing the controversy surrounding a leaked photo of El Taiger in the hospital, Teresa mentioned that they are investigating to determine who was responsible for releasing the image that has sparked significant discussion on social media.
