Elioveliz Pérez, widely recognized as "The Cuban José José," has taken to social media to expose the mishandling and irregularities by the individuals who arranged his visit to Mexico. According to Pérez, despite public announcements of a supposed performance in Vallarta, he has yet to receive any contact regarding the concert's specifics.
“As many of you have noticed, certain so-called musical industry businesspeople have been promoting my involvement in a concert with a mariachi band on October 19, 2024, in Vallarta. I want to express my deep disappointment and sadness because, as of now, these 'alleged businesspeople or organizers' have not reached out to provide details of my participation,” Pérez stated in an Instagram post.
“I've attempted to contact those in charge at Platino Ticket Monterrey, the site advertising the concert, to request essential information about my participation. This includes the venue, rehearsal schedules, preproduction and production specifics, duration of my performance, song list, collaborating musicians, performance order, costume requirements, logistical arrangements such as transportation, meals, accommodation, internal travel, and the financial compensation I am to receive. Regrettably, I have received no response,” the artist elaborated.
“Unfortunately, I find myself feeling powerless, as I believe I've been deceived by those who brought me to Mexico. I entrusted these individuals with my career, believing they would represent, support, and promote me, yet the reality has been starkly different. The announcement of this event without my knowledge is just one example of their disregard, causing potential harm to me, involved parties, and, most importantly, to you, my beloved fans,” Pérez expressed.
Pérez acknowledged the love and support he has received from his Mexican audience and, while confident in achieving his musical dreams, assured that any official updates would be communicated directly through his social media channels. The singer arrived in Mexico last August to embark on his inaugural tour in the country.
