A Cuban man has gained viral attention on TikTok after releasing a video in which he fiercely criticizes the landlords of efficiency apartments in Hialeah, Florida, labeling them as "exploiters" due to the alleged injustices they impose on tenants. The video, shared by user @reinier_r.p, showcases the man's profound outrage upon learning about a situation where a young Cuban mother with two children faces eviction from her efficiency despite being current with rent payments. The eviction, according to the man, was due to her spending "too much time" at home after losing her job.
"If I pay the rent, why does it matter if I'm there all day?" he exclaimed in the video, highlighting what he sees as abusive behavior by the landlords. His anger is further fueled by the fact that these property owners are also Cuban, stating, "They're always taking advantage, and the worst part is it's your own people."
Widespread Abusive Practices in Hialeah
The TikToker emphasized that such exploitative practices appear to be common in Hialeah, a city known for its significant Cuban population. "Stop the exploitation and stop the shamelessness, because this only happens in Hialeah, and the worst part is they're Cubans," he concluded.
