A gathering of family, friends, fans, and fellow musicians convened at San Lázaro Church in Miami this Friday to bid farewell to Cuban reggaeton artist, José Manuel Carbajal, known as El Taiger. The funeral service commenced with a private ceremony, featuring prayers led by the church's priests, as captured in live footage shared by journalist Daniel Benítez.
The casket, adorned with El Taiger's photo, name, the initials LBMA, and the phrases “forever José” and “the pride of your country,” was draped in a white cloth and solemnly carried to the altar amidst religious hymns. The obituary displayed a smiling portrait of the singer, a lasting image cherished by his fans and loved ones.
Among the attendees were El Taiger’s cousin, Jorge Junior, his manager Marcel Reinosa, and close friends and team members, all present during this initial part of the ceremony. The leader of Los 4, visibly emotional and shedding tears throughout the service, received condolences from those closest to the artist.
