This past weekend, family, friends, colleagues, and fans gathered in Miami to say their final goodbyes to El Taiger, and his beloved pet was present to honor him. Shala, the American pitbull affectionately called "mi negrita" by the late reggaeton artist, was brought to the San Lázaro Church in Hialeah where the funeral took place.
In poignant images shared by those closest to him, Shala can be seen standing on her hind legs beside the open casket of her owner. "Unconditional love. The most loyal friend. Speechless," reads one of the captions accompanying a photo of Shala leaning over El Taiger's body.
When Shala was just a puppy, El Taiger went so far as to create an Instagram account for her, proudly posting, "LBMA. My dad El Taiger, the best in the world." He often showcased his cherished pet, and she frequently appeared in his photos and videos on social media, demonstrating her deep affection for him.
