Al2 El Aldeano Calls Out Díaz-Canel and the Cuban Regime with New Track: "We Want Freedom, Not Blackouts"

Al2 El Aldeano has once again turned to music to launch a fierce critique against Cuban leader Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and the oppressive regime in Cuba. As the island grapples with a severe energy crisis, persistent blackouts, and widespread shortages, the Cuban artist raises his voice for the millions enduring these hardships.

"Diazca, I know you're scared, your end is near / Your socialism is dead, the candles are for its funeral / Because our leaders don't live in need / We want freedom, not blackouts," Al2 declares at the start of the song.

He continues to paint a bleak picture: "People stuck in time at bus stops, stores as closed as their communist minds / Need and violence in the streets, there's nothing good, even the moon gets stolen in the dead of night / These snitches blame everything on the empire, everything's bad and sad, it's no mystery / Not even ghosts come out at night, I'm serious, even the dead are robbed in the cemetery / No toilet paper, no transport, no courage, no future, no respect, no rights, no honor / Civilian families losing faith, suffering in the heat / Want me to tell you, Fidel dead is living better," the rapper sums up some of Cuba's pressing issues.

In this "HipHop Con100cia #43," Al2 El Aldeano makes it clear that there's only one way to end the dictatorship: "Buildings fall, Cuba lives inside an earthquake, it's the harsh truth, we look sad in photos, let's not wait for the light because we are the light."
