A 61-year-old man of Cuban descent residing in Miami Lakes faces charges of lewd acts involving a 9-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy. Authorities reported that the incident occurred last Saturday, captured by security cameras, which showed Rolando González inappropriately touching the two children during their visit to his home.

In addition to allegedly groping the children's private areas, González reportedly touched himself over his clothing. The young victims disclosed the disturbing events to their mother, prompting a formal accusation and subsequent police investigation.

Community Shock and Legal Proceedings

González appeared in Miami-Dade criminal court on Wednesday morning, facing charges of alleged lewd acts against minors. "I am in shock because in 29 years, I never saw any sign, nothing unusual, and after seeing this on the cameras, I don't know what to say," stated the accused man's wife to Telemundo 51. Married to González for nearly three decades, she expressed disbelief and distress over the situation.

"This happened in a matter of minutes while I was making the bed because my sister had just arrived," she added, speaking anonymously. She admitted she couldn't bear to watch the video evidence. "I couldn't watch it. My children saw it and told me it was horrible and advised me not to watch," she explained.

"I haven't been able to recover. I'm completely shaken. My whole family is deeply affected. I've been sleeping with the enemy for 29 years. I slept with someone I didn't know," she lamented, emphasizing her Hispanic heritage, though she doesn't appear to be of Cuban origin.

Legal and Community Repercussions

The case has stirred unease among neighbors, who described González as a seemingly quiet individual without any prior suspicious behavior. In court, González denied the accusations in front of Judge Mindy S. Glazer, who denied him bail and issued a restraining order preventing any contact with the alleged victims.

González was subsequently transferred to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center (TGK). A separate judge was scheduled to determine on Thursday whether he would be released before trial.
