The Cuban reggaeton artist Maxwell has shared with his followers the reasons why he was unable to personally distribute donations to those affected by Hurricane Oscar in Guantánamo province. In a video posted on his Instagram account, Maxwell explained that despite his efforts, he could not have direct contact with the victims to hand over the collected aid.

"Unfortunately, we couldn't make it to donate the container. We were unable to personally deliver the donations to the victims; it just wasn't possible to have direct contact with them and hand out the aid ourselves," the singer expressed in his message.

Efforts to Help Hurricane Victims

Maxwell had previously announced his plans to travel to Guantánamo, aiming to deliver a truck-loaded container filled with essential supplies as a gesture of solidarity with those who lost their belongings due to the hurricane's devastation.

In the video, the artist discussed how logistical challenges, along with other potential factors beyond his control, prevented him from being there during the donation process. However, he assured that the aid reached its intended recipients through the coordination with trusted locals in the province, emphasizing his dedication to supporting those in need.

Support from Followers

"Many blessings, we did everything we could to go and deliver our donations and the container we brought there by truck. We couldn't go or make direct contact to hand over the donations," he concluded.

The response from his followers has been overwhelmingly supportive, recognizing his efforts and genuine intention to assist the hurricane victims during such a critical time of need.
