Jorge Junior Hernández Carvajal, along with his son Jaide Hernández, found themselves in custody at Panama's airport on Wednesday. The head of the music group Los 4 shared via a live stream that they had been removed from a Copa Airlines flight bound for Peru, labeling the arrest as unjust. However, it emerged on Thursday that the incident was related to "a behavioral situation."
Journalist Mario J. Pentón explained during a Martí Noticias broadcast: "Sources within the Panamanian government have just informed us that what occurred was a behavioral issue." He elaborated, "Mr. Jorge Junior experienced a health problem, with the airline itself requesting he disembark to get checked due to heart palpitations. Jorge Junior was displeased about being removed from the flight, leading to a behavioral problem where he allegedly struck an employee," Pentón reported based on his sources.
The Panamanian police detained him temporarily and brought him before a peace judge, the journalist added. As of now, further details regarding the situation involving the Los 4 leader and his son remain unclear. In his live broadcast following the incident, Jorge Junior asserted, "I am detained. If I don't make it to the concert, this is why. I'm being held at Panama's airport. This is an injustice. They want to take us to court for no reason. We are unjustly detained."
