Mothers of El Taiger's Children Criticize DNA Test Request by Jorge Junior

Friday, November 1, 2024 by Oscar Fernandez

The mothers of three children fathered by the late Cuban reggaeton artist José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, popularly known as El Taiger, have voiced their frustration over a request for DNA tests by Jorge Junior, the artist's cousin. Jorge Junior has made this demand as a prerequisite for processing the singer's inheritance.

In a video shared on social media, the mother of Karim Sofía, one of El Taiger's daughters, explained that the mothers of the children affected—Ana Paloma, Lucas Mateo, and Karim Sofía—have united in opposition to this requirement. They have refused to sign any documents connected to the inheritance, citing their disagreement with the proposed terms.

"We all get along well and stand together on this," she stated, adding that although they cannot fully disclose the document's contents, they unanimously find the terms to be unfair to the children. According to these mothers, the DNA test demand emerged after they refused to sign the document due to its restrictive and obstructive conditions.

"They are creating numerous obstacles, making it impossible for the little money in José's account or any future earnings from his music and royalties to go to his children," one of the mothers criticized. She also highlighted that individuals with no connection to the deceased artist are involved in the process, while they, as the mothers of El Taiger's children, are sidelined without a voice.

Jorge Junior, they noted, specifically pointed to the three children not bearing the singer's last name—Ana, Lucas Mateo, and Karim Sofía—as the reason for requesting DNA tests. This situation has sparked outrage and prompted the mothers to consider legal action to defend their children's rights. "The best course of action is for each of us to seek our own lawyer," the young mother suggested, showing readiness to take legal steps against what they view as an attempt to block the children from accessing their father's inheritance.

Additionally, the three mothers joined a live call to express their dissatisfaction with the entire legal process and with Jorge Junior for his handling of El Taiger's inheritance concerning his children.
