Actress and former Miss Universe Cuba contestant, Rachell Vallori, has openly voiced her dissatisfaction with Marianela Ancheta being chosen as Cuba's representative for the 2024 Miss Universe pageant. In a comment on a post by Cuban influencer Kenny Robert, Vallori severely criticized Ancheta and Miami influencers who have shown support for her, labeling such backing as "fake" and questioning the influence of the Cuban representative.
Vallori expressed her disappointment over some influencers "stooping too low" by endorsing someone she claims has been involved in "undermining women who possess more talent, careers, and personality." She was explicit in her opinion that Marianela Ancheta does not embody the values of a Cuban woman and that her behavior conflicts with that of a true "queen." Furthermore, she highlighted that the support Miss Universe Cuba's representative has received is shallow and lacks genuine sincerity.
Rachell Vallori, who chose to withdraw from the Miss Universe Cuba competition, stated, "To be someone and rise, you don't need to crush other women." She emphasized that Ancheta's selection does not represent her or Cuban women, according to her perspective. In a bold tone, Vallori concluded her comment by suggesting that the new Cuban representative at Miss Universe could be dubbed “Miss Flip-Flop Universe” or “Miss Meme Cuba.”
Vallori's remarks sparked a lively debate on the post shared by Kenny Robert about his friend Marianela Ancheta. The influencer and the actress engaged in a spirited exchange in the comment section. "You'll never be a Miss, well, you know that, but what I'm saying is, if Marianela doesn't represent Cuban women to you, why waste your time here? I never thought the Yolanda Saldívar and Selena story would repeat itself. Why didn't you continue? Because Marianela had more support than you," responded Kenny Robert.
Rachell Vallori replied, "The real reason I didn't continue is that I didn't want to lend my image to people with a history. Because I have my partner and my career, and I wasn't going to jeopardize it for a competition that was rigged in her favor. It's disrespectful for you all to keep stirring up drama with these foolish things." The conversation continued with more users joining in on the comments.
