Tuesday, November 5, 2024 by Edward Lopez

Influencer Dairon Cano has reached out to the Cuban community in the United States, seeking assistance for a young woman who miraculously survived a deadly car accident in Miami. "Melany Rodríguez was involved in a traffic accident on October 6, which tragically claimed the lives of her partner and three friends," Cano stated, expressing gratitude for the miracle that spared her life.

Melany, her voice trembling, shared, "My friend Soray is the one taking care of me." The young woman is battling emotional trauma following the accident. She remains immobile and is in recovery from multiple surgeries.

Alone and in Need of Support

Currently, Melany finds herself completely alone in the United States. She was nearly placed in a shelter for the homeless, but a compassionate Cuban friend welcomed her into her home, taking on the demanding responsibilities of caring for someone bedridden.

"I brought her to my home because she requires emotional support, someone to feed her, assist her with personal care, and treat her with kindness," explained Soray. "I am seeking a humanitarian visa for Melany's mother to come and care for her, as I have two young children who also need my attention, and it's overwhelming at times."

Community Call to Action

The appeal to the Cuban community in the U.S. goes beyond financial aid to assist Melany in her time of need. It aims to raise awareness of her situation and facilitate the granting of a humanitarian visa for her mother, enabling her to come to the U.S. to provide the care Melany desperately needs.
