The Palm Beach County Convention Center has been under tight security since Monday, gearing up for the election night watch party hosted by former President Donald Trump, who is once again the Republican contender for the White House. Thousands of supporters, donors, and others are expected to gather to await the election results that will shape the future of the United States for the next four years. The media is also set to cover this event, which might extend well into the night, taking place just a few miles north of Mar-A-Lago, the luxurious estate of the business mogul.
Trump cast his vote early on Tuesday in Palm Beach, accompanied by his wife, Melania. Addressing those present, he expressed confidence in the outcome of the night. "We ran a great campaign. I believe this was perhaps our best of the three. We did very well the first time, even better the second, but then something happened. I would say this is the best campaign we've conducted," he stated.
Anticipation and Uncertainty
The timing of the election results remains uncertain. It is challenging to predict when the results will be announced, and to make projections, American media has been tracking the closure of polling stations in the battleground states. Despite this uncertainty, it is generally accepted that tallying the votes may take some time. Nonetheless, a new law mandates that a winner must be declared by December 11.
Polls indicate a tight race between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, both nationally and in the seven key states that will ultimately decide the election.
