The families and friends of young Cubans Pedro Mesa and Alfredo Peña, who tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Houston, Texas, last Saturday night, are reaching out for assistance to cover their funeral expenses. Both families have set up GoFundMe accounts to gather the necessary funds following the devastating incident that claimed their loved ones.

"With the love and support of family and close friends, we have created this account in honor of our beloved PEDRI—son, nephew, cousin, partner, and cherished friend. On November 2, our lives changed forever when Pedrito left us, leaving a profound void in our hearts," reads the GoFundMe plea organized by Miguel Mesa for Pedro's funeral expenses. "We are shattered by his departure, and any support will be a relief amidst this overwhelming grief," emphasizes the plea from the grieving family.

Similarly, the family and close friends of Alfredo have also launched a GoFundMe account to honor the memory of someone they described as a "son, nephew, cousin, boyfriend, and dear friend." "November 2 forever altered our lives, taking away our Alfre and leaving a deep emptiness," states the fundraising appeal led by Arianna Aguilar Ortiz. "Our hearts are broken, and your assistance will be a comfort during this painful ordeal."
