Hurricane Rafael Unleashes Powerful Winds and Flooding in Batabanó

Hurricane Rafael has made landfall in the southern part of Artemisa province, bringing with it severe winds and flooding to the municipality of Batabanó in Mayabeque. The inundation has been caused by heavy rainfall and sea surges.

A report on Facebook by Juventud Técnica magazine highlighted the effects of this Category 3 hurricane, as measured on the Saffir-Simpson scale, which ranges up to 5. The storm hit approximately three kilometers from the coast of the region.

The shared video vividly captures the relentless rain pounding the coastal town, with floodwaters rising to significant heights around residential areas.
