Damian Valdez-Galloso, charged with the murder of Cuban reggaeton artist José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar (known as El Taiger), made his first appearance in a Miami-Dade criminal court on Thursday. Valdez stood before Judge Mindy S. Glazer, who denied him bail on the second-degree murder charge.
The hearing, as reported by journalist Javier Díaz from Univision, unveiled critical details about the incident. As the sole suspect in El Taiger's murder, Valdez-Galloso was extradited to Miami International Airport from New York on Wednesday. He had been apprehended on October 29 after evading capture for over 20 days.
Dressed in white and surrounded by tight security, Valdez underwent a thorough inspection upon his arrival, adhering to standard procedures aimed at ensuring the safety and integrity of the judicial process.
