Teresa Padrón, the manager of El Taiger, attended a court session this Thursday in Miami-Dade where Damián Valdez-Galloso made his first appearance. The police have identified him as the suspect in the murder of the Cuban reggaeton artist.
In an interview with Telemundo 51, Teresa shared her thoughts on seeing Damián Valdez up close, noting that he supposedly had a friendship with the singer. "That man stands there with a face as if he did nothing wrong, I see no sign of remorse," Teresa expressed, clearly exasperated.
Questions Surrounding the Murder Case
The artist's manager emphasized that "he must have had some kind of help," arguing that it's unlikely for someone of his stature, not particularly tall, to single-handedly move a person weighing 280 pounds and over six feet tall.
On Instagram, Teresa posted a story stating, "You and your wife (who will soon have to come to light) will pay for the murder of José Manuel Carbajal."
According to the police report, Damián Valdez-Galloso allegedly shot El Taiger in the head at his home and then dragged him to a car, later abandoning the body near Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Legal Proceedings and Public Outcry
During the court hearing, Judge Mindy Glazer questioned the decision to charge Valdez with second-degree murder, asking the prosecution why first-degree murder charges were not being pursued given the details of the incident.
In addition to the murder charge, Damián faces two more charges: attempting to tamper with physical evidence and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, leading the judge to deny bail.
The details surrounding El Taiger's murder have sparked significant outrage and grief among his fans and fellow artists, highlighting the tragic loss of a beloved figure in the reggaeton community.
