Following her recent appearance on the "Destino Tolk" podcast, where Dayamí La Musa expressed reluctance to collaborate with Seidy La Niña, La Diosa, or Señorita Dayana, the Cuban singer took to a live stream to clarify her statements and quell the controversy that erupted on social media. Dayamí emphasized that she holds no personal grudges against any of the mentioned artists and explained that her refusal was not intended to stir conflict or offend her peers.
The artist pointed out, "There are a lot of women before me who set trends," stressing that her remarks were not aimed at La Diosa, Seidy La Niña, or Señorita Dayana. Instead, she was simply expressing her opinion in response to a direct question on the podcast. By declining to choose one of the three for a collaboration, she aimed to avoid making any of them feel undervalued.
Clarifying the Misunderstandings
Dayamí also mentioned that Seidy La Niña had previously approached her to work on a song together, and even sent a musical proposal through her team, although the project did not move forward. After the podcast, La Diosa reached out to Dayamí, expressing her frustration. However, the two were able to resolve the misunderstanding, which Dayamí attributed to selective editing: "They took the snippets they wanted to stir things up, and everyone interpreted it their own way."
"La Diosa called me, super insulted, because you know how people can blow things out of proportion. She explained her side of the story, and we cleared things up. It has nothing to do with La Diosa, Seidy, or Dayana. It was just my opinion. I believe I have every right," Dayamí La Musa stated.
A Call for Unity and Professionalism
The performer reaffirmed her respect for all female artists in the genre and stressed that she does not wish to ignite social media drama or become embroiled in disputes: "I don't think I'm better than anyone; we all have a lot of talent." In her live stream, she called for an end to unnecessary rivalries and highlighted that “this is marketing” and differences should not be taken personally.
"Folks, don't get offended, because in the end, it's all marketing," she emphasized.
Finally, Dayamí announced that she is working on a project involving several women, which she hopes will be a beneficial opportunity for everyone involved. "There's no need to fight or take things personally," the singer remarked.
