Damian Valdez-Galloso, the man identified by authorities as the perpetrator of Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger's murder, was expected to appear in Miami-Dade court for the second time this Friday. However, he refused to attend.
Speaking to various media outlets from the courthouse, Teresa Padrón, El Taiger's manager, confirmed the accused's absence. "I imagine why he doesn't want to show his face because he knows everyone is watching, everyone hates him, and everyone demands answers. Given how he presented himself yesterday, I understand why he might not want to show up today," Teresa remarked.
According to the artist's manager, Valdez's court appearance was not related to El Taiger's murder case but rather to charges of sexual abuse against him and violations of registration requirements with authorities for this crime.
Upcoming Court Dates
Teresa noted that the next court date for Damian Valdez-Galloso is set for November 22, when he is expected to appear before the judge handling the murder case.
In connection with El Taiger's murder, Valdez-Galloso faces several charges, including second-degree murder, evidence tampering, and possession of a firearm.
During the initial hearing in Miami-Dade, Judge Mindy S. Glazer denied him bail and questioned the prosecution about the second-degree murder charge, suggesting that the circumstances might warrant a first-degree murder charge, which carries a harsher penalty.
