After a long wait of 14 years, Yordenis Ugás is overjoyed to finally have his mother with him in the United States. He shared a moving message on social media that has touched the hearts of thousands. In a recent Instagram video, the Cuban boxer is seen driving with his mom beside him, taking the opportunity to express words filled with love and admiration: "Everything I am, and hope to be, I owe to my mother... Thanks to her prayers, her love, and support since I was a child."

Ugás, who recently announced the fulfillment of his dream to bring his mother to the U.S. after more than a decade apart, used this moment to reflect on the unconditional role of mothers, whom he regards as the true foundation of any family. He stated, "Dad can always have excuses. Dad leaves the house... But mom, she always has to be there. No matter how sick, she has to be there."

The Impactful Reunion

The much-anticipated reunion with his mother has been incredibly special for Ugás, and he continuously expresses his gratitude: "Thank you for your prayers, Mom. I need them every second of my life. God willing, you can pray for me for many more years." His heartfelt message garnered an outpouring of support and emotion from followers who admire his respect for mothers and the importance he places on family. Comments such as, "I hope to do something for you one day," and "It's wonderful that your mom can be with you," flooded his post, with others adding, "That's the only real and sacred thing one has," and, "Your mom looks so young."

Community Support and Shared Stories

Inspired by Ugás's words, many shared their own family stories and sentiments, like someone who commented, "Luckily, I had a father like your mother who raised me alone... God bless her." This touching post comes just days after Ugás celebrated their reunion and remembered the sacrifice of 14 years of separation, nine of which were spent without seeing her due to restrictions imposed by the Cuban regime. In his words, it was a long journey of waiting, during which his mother was always present "as a daughter of Yemayá."

Ugás has shown that his family is his greatest inspiration, and through his words, he hopes everyone remembers the invaluable role of mothers and never lacks the respect they deserve.
