Otaola Criticizes Bebeshito's Upcoming Miami Concert: "You're No Bad Bunny"

Sunday, November 10, 2024 by Samantha Mendoza

The Cuban influencer Alex Otaola has voiced his opinion regarding the upcoming concert of Oniel Bebeshito at the Pitbull Stadium in Miami, an event that has stirred significant anticipation within the Cuban community in the United States. On his YouTube show, Hola Otaola, he expressed skepticism about the reggaeton artist's ability to fill the stadium, which has a capacity of 20,000 seats.

This marks Bebeshito's first performance in the United States. While his fans eagerly await the event, Otaola predicts a dismal turnout. "He thinks filming a little video will fill 20,000 seats. Bebeshito, my dear... What are you thinking?" Otaola critiqued. He believes the young artist underestimates the challenge of drawing such a large and diverse audience in a city like Miami, where musical competition is fierce.

Not on the Same Level as Global Stars

Otaola emphasized that Bebeshito hasn't yet reached the popularity of more established artists. "You are not Bad Bunny, sweetheart. You're not! That stadium doesn't fill up with just Cubans. International artists attract a mix of Cuban, Peruvian, Dominican, and Colombian audiences." In Otaola's view, the type of music Bebeshito produces "is mainly consumed by the Cuban community," and only a small fraction of them might purchase tickets for the concert.

While Otaola acknowledges Bebeshito's talent and believes he may eventually fill such venues, he doubts it will happen so soon after arriving from Cuba. He also questioned the choice of date for the concert, noting the 28th of December as a "joke" because it's April Fool's Day in Hispanic cultures. This risky strategy coincides with performances by other artists like Kimiko and Yordi, who are also returning to the stage.

Concert Details and Ticket Offers

Despite Otaola's doubts, the event promises a family-friendly experience with ticket prices ranging from $60 to $200. VIP areas are available with reservations costing between $1,500 and $3,000. According to fans who have already purchased tickets, some sections are selling out quickly, even with a month to go before the event.

Although Otaola remains skeptical, Bebeshito's supporters are gearing up to celebrate the year-end with his concert in Miami. The artist maintains a humble demeanor and is aware of the high expectations. Despite the daunting task of filling a stadium of this size for his first U.S. performance, Bebeshito is determined to pursue his dreams.
