Teresa Honors El Taiger One Month After His Passing: "I Must Face This Harsh Reality"

Monday, November 11, 2024 by Elizabeth Alvarado

Teresa Padrón, the manager of the late Cuban reggaeton artist José Manuel Carvajal Zaldívar, known to fans as El Taiger, recently shared a heartfelt message on Instagram marking a month since the singer's untimely death. Alongside a commemorative video, Teresa expressed both her sorrow and gratitude for having known El Taiger, describing him as an irreplaceable and unforgettable presence in her life. "My dear, you were and will always be one of a kind," Teresa wrote, revealing the deep sadness and void his absence has left in her daily life.

“Your departure hurts me deeply, José,” she continued, acknowledging her thankfulness to God for having the chance to know him, while lamenting the lack of more time together. "Today marks a month without you. Today, I must face the harsh reality that I will no longer see you, that we will no longer talk, share laughs and jokes, or hear your voice, your cries, and your joy," she expressed, accompanying the video.

The Lasting Impact of El Taiger

In her emotionally charged words, Teresa also conveyed her hope of reuniting with El Taiger someday, saying, "I love you, my dear, fly high, and may God watch over you in heaven. Someday, we will meet again." These sentiments underscore the profound loss she feels. The artistic community and fans continue to pay tribute to El Taiger's personal and musical legacy, who passed away on October 10, 2024, leaving an indelible mark on reggaeton and in the hearts of those who knew him well.

Seeking Justice for El Taiger

Meanwhile, Teresa Padrón is actively seeking support from fellow artists for a signature petition demanding that the Miami-Dade District Attorney charges Damián Valdez-Galloso with first-degree murder for the musician's death. Through her Instagram platform, Teresa urged the artistic community and the public to share the petition link, arguing that the current second-degree murder charge does not adequately represent the crime's seriousness. The next court hearing for Valdez is set for November 22, and Teresa voiced her concerns about a potential guilty plea that might lessen the sentence.
