Thalía is currently navigating a challenging period following the passing of her sister, Ernestina Sodi, who died at the age of 64 on Friday, November 8. The journalist had been hospitalized in Mexico for a month after suffering two heart attacks, which led to an aortic rupture. Her daughter, Camila, shared the heartbreaking news on social media with a moving message: "Ernestina Sodi. My mom. Grandmother of my babies. November 8, 2024. Rest in peace."

Shortly after, Thalía posted an emotional tribute to her sister on her Instagram account. In this heartfelt message, the singer described Ernestina as "the sun, the sea, the breeze, love, joy, resilience, kindness, and life itself." In her farewell, Thalía expressed, “Not only my sister on this earth, but also my sister in Christ. A double blessing. God allowed us to say goodbye, all of us who love you, in these days where, like the warrior you are, you fought until the last second to be here, to gift us your smile, to look into our eyes, and to share tears together as the family we are.”

The acclaimed Mexican artist continued, “Titi, I know you're reuniting with mom and dad and with friends who went ahead of us, but above all, you're now in front of our beloved God. I know you're freer and happier than ever, more joyful and content in the presence of the eternal.”

Despite her spiritual calm, the singer admitted the deep pain this loss has brought: "I will miss your hugs, your hands full of caresses, your blue eyes filled with little stars, your golden hair, your beautiful conversations, and your entire human presence. I didn't know my heart could break a little more, giving me a new, utterly indescribable pain. The pain of losing a sibling.”

In closing, Thalía thanked Ernestina for her generosity and the moments they shared, bidding her farewell with love: “Thank you, my beloved. Thank you for being so generous in every way in this life. I love you so much, beauty. So much and always. You, my free boat to the wind.” She concluded by sharing the poem "La barca," alongside a series of cherished photographs capturing their special moments together, immortalizing their shared memories.
