Hit-and-Run Driver Sought by Police After Fatal Crash Claims Life of Cuban Father of Three in Miami-Dade

Authorities are actively searching for a driver involved in a suspected hit-and-run accident that tragically ended the life of a Cuban man in Redland, Miami-Dade County. The victim, Alexis Muñoz, a 46-year-old husband and father of three, had recently relocated to Florida.

The heartbreaking event unfolded early Monday morning as Muñoz was en route to work on his scooter. A vehicle struck him and then fled the scene. According to police reports, cited by Telemundo 51, the vehicle initially collided with a house at 232nd Street and 194th Avenue Southwest before hitting Muñoz at 208th Street and the same avenue, subsequently leaving the scene.

Yaicel Santana Muñoz, the victim's cousin, confirmed that Alexis was on his way to work when the accident occurred. As of the latest updates, further details about the vehicle sought by police remain undisclosed.
