Cuban Visits Whole Foods for the First Time: "Where Justin Bieber and the Kardashians Shop"

A Cuban residing in Nebraska, known on TikTok as @soy_edgy, couldn't resist his curiosity and made his way to Whole Foods, a supermarket renowned for its high prices and celebrity clientele, including Justin Bieber and the Kardashians. In his video, he expresses astonishment at the prices, noting, "A fresh fish can set you back up to $500." He also observes that the majority of the products are organic, with labels emphasizing this "everywhere."

The TikToker is visibly amazed by the selection of artisanal cheeses, even taking advantage of a free sample, quipping, "What better way to taste such an expensive cheese." He further mentions that the bakery offers freshly baked bread, perfect for taking home "nice and warm." As for Nutella, which he humorously refers to as "what the rich eat," the mini version is priced at $7.29, and sweets are $3 each, a price that, he jokes, "stays in the first tooth."

Laughing, @soy_edgy recounts how, after browsing without purchasing much, he ends up picking a couple of items and spends significantly more than he would at more affordable grocery stores.

The video sparked a flurry of humorous comments. Some users playfully remarked, “I’d go in… just to see the prices and run out”; “I’m not coming back here, I relate”; and “Let me keep shopping at Aldi.” Others defended the prices, claiming that “the products are top quality” or that "other markets are even pricier." Some suggested he visit Erewhon Market, which they claim is “even more expensive.”

For those dreaming of experiencing the "rich life" or tasting the priciest Nutella, @soy_edgy's video offers a comical yet critical glimpse into the cost of shopping at premium stores in the United States.
