Following a showcase of his newly renovated home in Havana, Cuban reggaeton artist Yomil Hidalgo is offering an inside look at the apartment he rents in the Focsa building for office use. This space is where Yomil and his partner, Daniela Reyes, film the videos for their YouTube channels.
In a vlog detailing his routine the day before Hurricane Rafael hit the western part of the island, Yomil took his followers on a tour of the apartment, located in what is considered one of the seven wonders of Cuban civil engineering, despite the wear and tear it has endured over the years. With a hope that the elevator wouldn't malfunction and trap him inside, Yomil reached the property and explained, "These are our offices. It's a space we rent to work more comfortably. I rarely come here; it's been four or five months since my last visit to the apartment. Dani is the one who's always here."
Creative Spaces for Content Creation
The apartment features a spacious living room with an office desk. One of the rooms is dedicated to the set of Open Mind, a channel Yomil created with Daniela, while another room serves as the set for the Bien Chilling Podcast, which the YouTuber hosts alongside several Cuban actresses. The apartment is also equipped with a furnished kitchen and a bedroom for those days when they need to stay overnight.
A View That Captures the Heart
What Yomil appreciates most about this apartment is the stunning view it offers of the Vedado and the iconic Havana Malecón. His followers also noticed and praised his generosity when he offered the apartment as a safe haven for neighborhood friends to weather the storm, a gesture that many applauded.
