Donald Trump, the President-elect of the United States, has stated that migrant caravans attempting to enter the country are falling apart and abandoning their journey following his election victory. Speaking at a gala held on Thursday at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, Trump suggested that his electoral win and his plans for mass deportations have discouraged migrants.

"Caravans that used to gather up to 35,000 people aren't even making the trip. They are disbanding," he declared. One of the latest caravans, which started its journey in southern Mexico last week with around 2,500 migrants, reportedly scattered after the election results were announced, according to the President-elect.

Trump's Tough Stance on Immigration

Trump has reaffirmed his promise to tighten immigration policies during his upcoming term, vowing to implement stricter measures to prevent illegal entry into the country. However, migrant rights organizations have pointed out that despite his statements, many individuals continue to embark on the journey to the United States due to harsh conditions in their home countries, such as violence and extreme poverty.

The issue of immigration remains a central topic in the President-elect's political agenda and one of the urgent demands from his supporters for the first 100 days of his administration.
