Claudia Cárdenas, a young Cuban woman, has been missing for more than three months in Ciego de Ávila, despite her family's exhaustive search efforts. Claudia, 27, suffers from a mental disability that causes her to behave like a small child. She is known for being non-aggressive and extremely affectionate.

The last known sighting of Claudia was in the Baraguá municipality, where she was wearing a blue blouse and a long patterned skirt. On Sunday, a close relative posted a plea for help in the Facebook group "Revolico Baraguá Ciego de Ávila (R)" urging the public to assist in the search.

"It’s been three months since she disappeared. Please, if anyone sees her, call this number: 51111341," urged Odet Cárdenas. "She also responds to 'cosita,' a nickname used by close family. Please, we just want her to come home," she implored.

The feminist platform Alas Tensas highlighted Claudia's case on their Facebook page. Claudia vanished on August 7th after leaving her home in San Rafael, Baraguá. "Her mentality is that of a two-year-old. Unfortunately, she slipped away from her grandmother and hasn't been found since," explained Odet Cárdenas back in September.

The family has reported her disappearance to the Police, asking anyone who sees her to hold her and contact the authorities. Twelve days after Claudia went missing, Alas Tensas issued an alert criticizing the "inaction of the Police" regarding the search efforts.

"The inaction of the Cuban Police in this disappearance case has left Claudia's family and community as the sole searchers," stated the independent platform.
