Jesús David Corcho Pérez, a 22-year-old from Jovellanos in Matanzas, has been missing since Sunday, prompting his family to urgently seek assistance in locating him. Corcho left his home around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday and has not been heard from since, according to messages circulated on social media. His disappearance has been reported to the police.

"This is my cousin Jesús David Pérez Corcho. I ask my friends and family in Jovellanos to please share this information so that if anyone has seen him or knows anything about his whereabouts, they can contact me," urged Laura Marian Moreno García in a Facebook post. She also noted that he was last seen riding his purple scooter.

Alicia María López Hernández, a university professor, also took to social media to raise awareness of Corcho's disappearance. "I beg EVERYONE who knows Jesús David Corcho Pérez, a beloved young man from Jovellanos, Matanzas, and my most special student, if you have seen or heard from him, please let us know. He left home on his purple scooter at 4:30 p.m. yesterday and hasn't returned," she wrote.

López highlighted that even the smallest piece of information could be crucial and shared photos of Corcho in a gray jacket and his scooter. She provided contact numbers 5 3463825 and 54887786 for anyone with information to reach the family.

Community members describe Corcho as a well-loved figure. "People of Jovellanos, let's unite and help find this young man who is cherished by everyone. His family is desperate," urged Rujaine Santana.

The frequency of disappearances in Cuba has become alarming, with social media posts regularly pleading for help in finding missing loved ones. The lack of an official state channel for such emergencies exacerbates the problem.

Corcho's disappearance has sparked concerns over rising crime rates and the increasing danger in the country, particularly the surge in motorcycle thefts. "Motorbike thefts are rampant, and it seems nobody gets caught," one woman stated. Another added, "I experienced a robbery at my own home, and despite evidence, no one was apprehended. The lawlessness is overwhelming, with no results from the police."
