Back in May, Alexander Otaola, known for his YouTube commentary, hinted at a budding romance between Hollywood actress Ana de Armas and Manuel Anido Cuesta, son of Lis Cuesta and stepson to Miguel Díaz-Canel. "Oh, Anita! How could you stoop so low?" he exclaimed, blending his usual sarcasm with a touch of irony, as he predicted this revelation would become a "bombshell" once it was confirmed publicly.
The influencer started the speculation by stating, "I've been told that our beloved Cuban Hollywood actress, who spent some time in Spain and did quite well there—a very beautiful and talented girl, our own Marilyn Monroe, Ana de Armas—has been traveling to Cuba for a reason..." This remark set off a chain of gossip that has now been verified.
On his May 27th broadcast, the former Miami-Dade mayoral candidate elaborated that Ana de Armas had spent ten days with Manuel Anido at a tourist facility in Cayo Santa María, a location under the control of GAESA and tightly overseen by top officials. Otaola claimed that staff members were stripped of their phones, ensuring no unauthorized access to the couple during their stay in a bungalow.
Ana de Armas documented her time in Cayo Santa María through photos and videos shared on social media, likely captured by Manuel Anido himself. "Anita found the perfect place there to hide away and fully embrace her current love," Otaola commented, while speculating about potential infidelity to Paul Boukadakis, the wealthy Tinder executive who was her boyfriend at the time. Otaola continued, "It seems like that relationship ended, or there was infidelity involved, because according to a former acquaintance of mine, who happens to clean seaweed in Cayo Santa María, Ana de Armas is indeed romantically involved with Lis Cuesta's son."
The controversial influencer expressed little surprise, claiming, "A climber is a climber and will climb wherever they can." He humorously added, "Wow, Ana de Armas! Things must be going terribly in Hollywood for you to be involved with this 'banana.'" Otaola speculated that we would continue to see Ana returning to Cuba until the relationship becomes public, at which point "Anita de Armas" would officially join the family of "the appointed one." He ended by saying, "Anita is shameless, has no morals... What's one more stripe on the tiger? When this is confirmed, it'll be explosive."
This Tuesday, the Spanish magazine ¡HOLA! confirmed the romance with images of the Cuban actress and Díaz-Canel's stepson. The couple was photographed strolling through Madrid, dining at an upscale Italian restaurant, and even caught sharing a kiss. Manuel Anido, a law graduate, reportedly serves as an "advisor" to his stepfather and has been seen accompanying Díaz-Canel and his mother on various official trips, including to the Vatican and the United Arab Emirates.
