An unusual traffic incident unfolded on Tuesday in Guantánamo, where a motorcyclist crashed into a towing chain connecting two cars. A witness shared images on a Facebook group dedicated to road safety awareness, highlighting the scene.

According to the eyewitness account, the event took place at the intersection of Moncada and Prado streets. A car was towing another vehicle when the motorcycle failed to notice the chain, resulting in the collision. Fortunately, both the motorcyclist and their passenger were thrown over the vehicle but escaped without injuries.

The responsibility appears to lie with the motorcycle driver, who was not attentive to the road. "The car did stop at the stop sign, but as it was towing another vehicle, the accident occurred during the crossing," explained the photographer in the comments section.

Daniel Matos, a group member who identified himself as the driver of the towed car, offered further clarification. He mentioned that his car had broken down on the road, and the driver of the truck offered to tow him out of goodwill. "We used a chain, which was the only thing available," he said, adding, "The motorcyclist made no attempt to brake because he didn't see the chain. If you look closely, the truck had already crossed the line, and my car was in the middle of the street."

While the mishap could have been avoided, the incident fortunately resulted in only material damage, emphasizing the importance of staying alert on the roads.
