A young Cuban man, identified as Alain Nolasco, met a violent end in the El Fanguito area of the Vedado neighborhood in Havana. According to independent reporter "NioReportandoUnCrimen", the incident took place last Monday at 3 am on 15th Street between 26 and 28, right on the street. The supposed brawl reportedly involved between 13 and 15 individuals, but Nolasco was specifically targeted and suffered stabbings from at least four locals, in addition to being struck with pipes, hammers, and even hit with a bottle, as detailed in the report.
Despite the proximity of the black berets unit, no law enforcement intervened to quell the conflict. It was a neighbor who eventually stopped the chaos by shouting and holding onto Nolasco's body, then dragging him to her home and sitting him in her living room until he took his last breath, the reporter emphasized.
The widespread use of a drug known as "el químico" is believed to be impacting the residents of this neighborhood and possibly played a role in this tragic event and the growing sense of insecurity in the country's capital.
In the aftermath, Nolasco's mother was hospitalized after suffering two heart attacks following the brutal killing of her son. His body currently remains at the Forensic Medicine facility, with no clear motive yet confirmed for the outbreak of such violence.
On social media, numerous Cubans have mourned the loss of the young man, fondly remembering him as a good friend.
