More than ten days have passed since Heriberto Llánez, an elderly resident of Morón in Ciego de Ávila, went missing, and his family remains relentless in their search for him. Yamilka Llánez Villanueva, his daughter, has been actively posting on Facebook, sharing pictures of her father, who was last seen on the morning of November 11.
"Please help me find my father, Heriberto Llánez García. We're from Morón. If you see him, take a picture and hold him, please. Call 53156657," she pleaded in one of her posts. She added, "Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your help. Please share this across the country."
Yamilka emphasizes that her father is not suffering from dementia. When he left home, he did not take any identification or a phone with him. "Some people call him Llánez, others Iñe. We still haven't found him. If you see him, please hold him and send a photo," she urged.
Unconfirmed Reports and Continued Efforts
On November 17, there were unverified reports suggesting that Heriberto might have traveled to Bolivia. A barber claimed to have seen him, and a woman mentioned that he asked for a spoon to eat. Witnesses described him as looking somewhat disheveled. Male relatives of the family traveled to the area but were unable to locate him. "We've gone to every place people have suggested," his daughter reported.
In a previous post, Yamilka expressed her willingness to offer a reward for any information leading to her father's whereabouts, highlighting the family's ongoing efforts in the search. "I don't have a picture of what he was wearing. I've been told he left in a light blue shirt, gray or brown pants, a black cap, and carrying a small white bag," she clarified.
"I am immensely grateful to family, friends, and strangers for all the support," she conveyed in another message.
