A recently released exclusive video from NBC6 captures the exact moment Damian Valdez-Galloso shot Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger (José Manuel Carbajal) in the head on October 3rd. The footage, taken from a surveillance camera, shows El Taiger arriving at Valdez-Galloso's gated residence at 4:26 a.m.
Shortly after approaching the entrance, a gunshot from inside the house caused the reggaeton star to fall to the ground instantly. Contrary to prior rumors, there is no evidence in the video of El Taiger displaying aggressive behavior or kicking the door.
In another segment of the video, timestamped at 4:37 a.m., Damian is seen dragging the singer's lifeless body by the ankles. Following this, he attempts to clean the blood from the entrance of the property. The footage does not show Damian receiving any assistance, although Miami Police Chief Manuel Morales recently stated to journalist Daniel Benítez that a woman was present, but she was not involved.
Legal Proceedings and Public Outcry
On the same Thursday, during his second appearance in Miami-Dade's criminal court, Damian Valdez-Galloso pleaded "not guilty" to the reggaeton artist's murder, sparking widespread outrage among the artist's friends and fans.
Teresa Padrón, the late musician's manager and close friend, expressed a sense of optimism outside the courthouse, stating that Damian's plea would intensify efforts to seek justice. "Believe it or not, I'm happy about this because it increases the pressure on those supporting the cause for justice. He's pleading not guilty, and now we'll proceed to trial," she told the press.
The court session was rescheduled earlier than its initial date, as Teresa explained in recent days. She also mentioned that during the trial, they would submit a petition signed by over 49,000 individuals urging the prosecution to upgrade the charges against Valdez-Galloso from second-degree homicide to first-degree murder.
Despite Teresa Padrón's claims of another individual being involved in the crime, the Miami police have consistently denied this. The authorities assert they possess sufficient evidence for a conviction.
