In the wake of the release of video footage capturing the chilling moment when El Taiger was shot in the head on October 3, additional clips have emerged that reveal the presence of a woman at the scene—a detail already acknowledged by police. The footage shows a woman entering the surveillance camera's view at 4:43 a.m., repeatedly moving in and out, seemingly heading towards the vehicle where the singer's body was ultimately transported.
El Taiger had been pounding on the door of Valdez-Galloso at 4:26 a.m., and by 4:31 a.m., a gunshot from within the home caused the reggaeton artist to collapse instantly. In another part of the video, timestamped at 4:37 a.m., Damian is seen dragging the lifeless body of the singer by the ankles and attempting to clean the blood from the entrance. Between then and a little after 5 a.m. on October 3, it is now clear that a woman was involved in several actions by the alleged perpetrator.
Identifying the Woman
In recent hours, Ana María Pérez, the partner of Damián Valdez-Galloso, has denied being the woman in the video, refuting any involvement in the events. "They are accusing me of assisting him, saying I am the one in the video; I am clarifying that it is not me," she asserted in statements released by influencer Alain Paparazzi. She also emphasized her commitment to seeking justice but stated that legal constraints prevent her from sharing more details. Moreover, she indicated that if her husband is found guilty, he must face the consequences. She insists that she was not at the house because they had been arguing for four or five days.
This claim aligns with the account of a Cuban worker who was renovating the home. In an interview with Univision, he disclosed that he had not seen Damian's partner at the house for several days before the crime.
Police Chief's Remarks on the Video Woman
Manuel Morales, Miami's Police Chief, addressed lingering questions about El Taiger's murder in an interview with Univision on Wednesday. A key revelation from the police official was the confirmation of a woman's presence in the house when Damian shot El Taiger. However, Morales asserted that she was not "involved" in the incident.
"We have no probable cause to believe that the woman seen in the video is involved in any aspect of the incident," Morales stated, providing no further details. The police chief added that the woman "is cooperating with the police" but reiterated that she was not part of the violent act itself. As of this report, questions about the woman's identity remain unanswered. Morales reiterated in the Univision interview that all evidence points to the accused as having moved El Taiger's body to the vehicle without any assistance.
“He tried to take him to the car, couldn't, then brought the car closer and, with much effort, managed to load him into the back of the vehicle,” Morales explained, referring to a part of the footage beyond the released clip.
When asked about the push to elevate the charge to first-degree murder instead of second-degree, Morales was firm in his response. He emphasized that actions should be based on "evidence" rather than "emotion," reaffirming the current charge of second-degree murder.
Damian's Plea of "Not Guilty"
This Thursday, Damián Valdez-Galloso pleaded “not guilty” to the murder of the reggaeton artist, a plea that has stirred outrage among El Taiger's friends and fans. Despite this, Teresa Padrón, the late artist's manager and close friend, expressed that she was "happy" because Damian's stance intensifies their efforts and desire for justice as she left the courtroom.
