The Cuban reggaeton artist Oniel Bebeshito opened up about the profound impact of his friend and fellow musician El Taiger's death during a candid interview on Univision's show El Gordo y La Flaca. Accompanied by his wife, influencer Rachel Arderi, Bebeshito discussed his career, an upcoming concert in Miami, and the heartache caused by the loss of the urban music star.

Bebeshito recounted receiving the devastating news at a gas station, where he learned that El Taiger had been found shot inside a car near Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital. "I found out at a gas station and texted him because I thought it wasn't true, but he never replied," he recalled.

Remembering a Cherished Friendship

Sharing insights into their friendship, Bebeshito emphasized that the passing of José, as he referred to El Taiger, was a significant blow not just for him but for the entire Cuban community. "Not only I, but all Cubans held great affection for José, and what has happened is incredibly tough. All I ask for is justice for José," he stated.

Missed Reunion and Lasting Memories

During the interview, Oniel revealed that he and El Taiger never got to meet in the United States, despite planning to dine together so El Taiger could meet Rachel and their newborn daughter, Mia. "He told me to enjoy my wife and daughter first, but that the first meal should be with him," Bebeshito recalled with sadness.

As Bebeshito prepares for his debut concert in Miami after spending two months in the U.S., he assured that El Taiger's memory would always live on in his heart and music.

Impact on the Urban Music Scene

El Taiger's untimely death has sent shockwaves through the Cuban urban music scene and among his fans, who continue to call for justice to uncover the truth behind the tragic event.
