The family of Heriberto Llánez, an elderly man missing for 12 days from his home in Morón, Ciego de Ávila, continue their relentless search for him. His daughter, Yamilka Llánez Villanueva, is calling on the community for help, particularly after the police claimed they lack the resources to conduct a search.
"If anyone sees him, please take a photo and try to hold him until we can confirm it's him. We've searched various places and it hasn't been him. The police told me they don't have the resources. Please keep sharing so we might find him," Yamilka pleaded on her Facebook page.
Llánez, also known by the nickname Iñe, left his home on November 11 and hasn't been seen since. "Please keep helping by sharing; you are my only hope," his daughter implored.
Community Efforts and Challenges
Yamilka emphasized that her father does not suffer from any mental illness. Anyone with information is urged to call 53156657. "Thanks everyone from the bottom of my heart for your help, and please share across the country," she posted again.
When he left home, the elderly man did not take any identification or phone with him. On November 17, someone claimed he had traveled to the municipality of Bolivia, where a barber confirmed having seen him, and a woman mentioned he had asked for a spoon to eat. These witnesses noted he appeared slightly unkempt.
A Desperate Plea for Assistance
Several family members went to Bolivia but were unable to locate him. In an earlier post, Yamilka mentioned she was willing to offer a reward for her father's safe return, stressing that the entire family has been tirelessly searching for him.
"I don't have pictures of what he was wearing. They tell me he left wearing a light blue shirt, gray or brown pants, a black cap, and carrying a white bag," she clarified.
"I am infinitely grateful to family, friends, and strangers for all their support," she expressed in another post.
