José Ernesto González Carnota, the Cuban influencer widely known as Carnota, recently had a memorable encounter when he embraced Colombian singer-songwriter Juanes. This heartfelt reunion took place 15 years after their initial meeting in Havana.

The young comedian approached Juanes in a parking lot, showing him a photo captured in the Cuban capital back in 2009. This picture was taken during the days of the "Paz sin Fronteras" concert, an event that had significant international impact. In the image, a 13-year-old Carnota beams with pride next to his idol.

"In Cuba, remember? I'm Ivette's son, she's my mother," Carnota revealed, catching the singer by surprise. Juanes responded warmly with a smile and a handshake. After their embrace, Juanes inquired about Carnota's mother, to which the YouTuber replied, "She's doing well, in Chicago."

The Instagram post sharing this touching moment sparked curiosity among followers about Carnota's mother and her role in Cuba. It was no small feat to get close to Juanes during his time in Havana organizing the unprecedented high-profile concert.

Comments flooded in, with some speculating, "Who is Carnota's mom, what party position does she hold?" and "To get that close to Juanes, his mom must at least be a colonel," as well as "Is Carnota's mom a big deal in Cuba?" and "How does Juanes know Carnota's mother?"

Ivette Carnota Acosta, the young man's mother, currently resides in Chicago with her younger son. In June, she celebrated the completion of her Master's degree in Education. Carnota expressed his pride on social media, writing, "Proud of you. My mom is a Master in Education," while attending her graduation ceremony.

On that special day, Ivette wore a sash with the Cuban flag and her cap bore the message, "For my children. In pursuit of a dream, so many hopes," adorned with drawings of a hummingbird and a butterfly.
