Description not available

The Miami-Dade police are on the hunt for Zeniel Francisco Cabrera, who is suspected to be the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run that took place on November 11 in the Redland area of Miami-Dade County. The tragic incident claimed the life of 46-year-old Alexis Muñoz, a Cuban father of three who had recently moved to the United States seeking a better life.

Sahyli Brito-Martínez, the victim's wife, appeared visibly distraught as she made a heartfelt plea during a press conference, urging anyone with knowledge of the suspect's whereabouts to contact the authorities. "We came from Cuba, like many others, dreaming of a better future," she stated, as reported by Telemundo 51. "Please, if anyone knows where this person is, reach out to the police," Brito-Martínez implored through tears. "He was a wonderful man, and he didn't deserve this," she added, mourning the loss of her husband, who was also the father of their youngest child, a three-year-old boy.

Details of the Fatal Incident

The collision occurred on November 11 at approximately 5:55 a.m. at the intersection of 208th Street and 194th Avenue in southwest Miami-Dade. On that morning, Muñoz had just dropped off his wife at her workplace and was waiting on a scooter to make a left turn towards his own job when he was struck by a gray Ford pickup truck.

According to homicide detective Michael Quiñones, the vehicle attempted to overtake Muñoz on the right, hitting him with a trailer and leaving him trapped beneath it. The driver then got out of his vehicle, pulled Muñoz’s body from underneath, and fled the scene with the assistance of a man known as "Rabiche," who picked him up in a red truck.

Suspect's Possible Whereabouts

Zeniel Francisco Cabrera, identified as the 25-year-old suspect, may have fled to Mexico after the accident, as believed by the police. Authorities also speculate that he might return to the U.S. at any time, given that his girlfriend, who is nine months pregnant, is about to give birth.

The Miami-Dade police are also searching for the accomplice who aided the driver after the crash, described as a man between 50 and 60 years old, known by the nickname "Rabiche." A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest in this case.

Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the police at 305-471-2425.
