On Facebook, Alejandro Ng shared a video capturing a suspected thief on surveillance cameras entering his property in Havana. The incident has stirred concern among local residents. The footage shows the suspect taking items from the victim's backyard.
The thief made off with gasoline and some low-value belongings. In response, Alejandro has offered a reward of 10,000 Cuban pesos for information leading to the identification and apprehension of the individual. He even added a light-hearted incentive: "Secure three boxes of beer for New Year's just for naming him."
In his post, Alejandro displayed the jacket the suspect left behind in the yard, which could serve as a clue for identifying him. "This person is trespassing into backyards. He stole a jug of gasoline and several worthless items. I'm offering 10,000 pesos for information on his whereabouts. He left his jacket; here it is," he stated in his post.
This incident highlights the growing insecurity in certain residential areas of Havana, where home and yard thefts have become a frequent concern among locals. Residents are increasingly frustrated with what they perceive as a lack of action by the authorities.
