Eduardo Antonio Mourns the Loss of Mexican Actress Silvia Pinal: "Fly High, My Queen"

The passing of Mexican actress Silvia Pinal on November 28 has left Eduardo Antonio deeply saddened, as he regarded her as a cherished friend and mentor. Upon hearing the news, the Cuban singer, known as El Divo de Placetas, took to Instagram to express his grief: "Fly high, my queen, my diva, my godmother, my friend."

Eduardo Antonio fondly remembered the trailblazing artist who made her mark in musical theater and Mexican television. Her influence was so profound that she inspired him to compose one of the most beautiful songs in his collection, "Mujer." During Silvia Pinal's lifetime, he even had the honor of performing it for her live with a guitar.

On social media, Eduardo Antonio also posted photos from their last meeting, during which he was awarded the Silvia Pinal Medal in Mexico, a testament to his career and connection to the last diva of Mexican cinema.
