Since the untimely passing of José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, widely known as El Taiger, fans have been left wondering about the fate of his musical legacy and the tracks he never had the chance to release. In an interview on the podcast Destino Tolk, Marcel Reinosa, who was part of El Taiger's management team at the time of his death, shed light on these concerns.
"We have at least four to five albums worth of material, enough to keep releasing music for the next three or four years," Marcel assured, much to the delight of El Taiger's fans who are eager to continue enjoying his music. "José was someone who was always in the studio, recording nonstop. We have a substantial amount of unreleased music," he added.
Protecting the Musical Legacy
Marcel emphasized, "Justice is crucial, and I have complete faith in the American legal system. But we must also ensure that José's music doesn't fade away; we need to preserve his legacy." He also raised concerns about record labels re-uploading old tracks from his time with Los Desiguales, falsely branding them as new releases by altering the authorship.
He made it clear that the earnings from El Taiger's musical career rightly belong to his children and their mothers, as they are minors, and the mothers will make decisions on their behalf. Marcel also mentioned that all access to El Taiger's bank accounts and social media was immediately blocked upon learning of his shooting, ensuring that no one can touch the artist's related finances, including royalties, until a judge's decision is made.
Upcoming Releases
During the interview, the manager revealed plans to release new music from El Taiger in December. One of the first tracks set to debut is a collaboration with The Yabo, which will be accompanied by a music video. Fans can look forward to experiencing more of El Taiger's vibrant sound in the near future.
