Nidia, the beloved grandmother of El Taiger, celebrated her 91st birthday, marking another year with her family and friends in Cuba. Making the journey to join the celebrations was the artist's former manager, Teresa Padrón, who had promised to be there for this special occasion.
Upon her arrival, Teresa was greeted with joy by Nidia, who was thrilled to see her. Teresa then presented an emotional gift—a framed photo of Nidia with her grandson. Overcome with tears, the grandmother exclaimed, "Oh, what a beautiful thing, my dear," as she admired the picture. Her heartfelt reaction continued as she proudly declared to Teresa, "That man is my pride."
The celebration was lively, with Nidia even showing off her dance moves—something she used to do alongside her grandson when he brought her on stage during his concerts. The birthday party was filled with music, including a performance of "Papelito," one of El Taiger's hits, played by violinist Zamir. The grandmother hummed along, clearly enjoying the moment.
Coincidentally, on that same Friday, Teresa moved the remains of José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar and his mother to a new chapel at the Colón Cemetery.
