A devastating accident on Tuesday, December 17, on Cuba's National Highway resulted in a man losing his leg following a collision between a passenger bus and a truck. The crash occurred in the section of the highway that runs through the province of Mayabeque. The identity of the injured man has not been disclosed.

Photos shared in the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!" reveal that the bus sustained serious damage to its windshield and front structure. Despite the chaotic scene, many individuals focused on collecting sodas and water bottles scattered across the road.

This accident is part of a disturbing trend of traffic incidents in Cuba in recent weeks. On December 11, in Camagüey, a crash involving two motorcycles and a car resulted in one fatality and two injuries, one being a minor. In another incident on December 15, in Holguín, a truck carrying goods overturned and crashed into an electric pole, leaving one passenger hospitalized.

Additionally, on December 17, in Camagüey's South Ring Road, a tourist car collided with a horse-drawn cart. Although there were no injuries, significant material damage was reported. More recently, on December 19, in Las Tunas, a trailer truck crashed into a power pole, leaving an entire neighborhood without electricity.
